PROVIDENCE, R.I. - After falling behind 3-0 in the first eight minutes, the Raiders battled back to secure two points with a shootout victory at Meehan Auditorium on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Brown took an early lead with a short-handed goal from Mike Cataldo at 16:22. The Bears extended their advantage shortly after, scoring at even strength through Ivan Zadvernyuk. Colgate's defense faced pressure following a power-play goal from Ryan St. Louis, leaving the score at 3-0 in favor of the Bears.
Colgate responded by tightening their play, and Bobby Metz managed to cut the deficit with an even-strength goal at 2:54, assisted by Robby Newton and Tyson Doucette. Despite several attempts, Colgate could not further close the gap before the period ended, trailing 3-1.
Colgate started the second period with a strong presence, capitalizing at 16:39 when Simon Labelle scored an even-strength goal, assisted by Ryan Sullivan and Max Nagel. Throughout the period, Colgate maintained pressure with multiple shot attempts, while successfully killing two penalties that could have shifted momentum. As the period closed, Colgate trailed the Bears 3-2, keeping the contest within reach heading into the final period.
Labelle scored the game-tying goal at 9:29, assisted by Isaiah Norlin and Sullivan, bringing the score to 3-3. Colgate maintained pressure throughout the period, executing a series of offensive plays and successfully navigating a power play opportunity. Despite numerous attempts, the defense held firm, and Reid Dyck provided crucial saves to keep the game level. The period concluded with both teams tied at three, setting the stage for a decisive outcome.
In the overtime period, Colgate's offensive efforts were highlighted by Daniel Panetta and Michael Neumeier, who each fired shots that were saved by Brown's Tyler Shea. Dyck made critical saves for Colgate, ensuring a scoreless overtime. As the clock wound down, Colgate's Nagel attempted a final shot, but Shea maintained his position to keep the game level.Â
Nagel capitalized on his shootout attempt for Colgate, successfully converting against the Bears' goalie, Shea. Dyck stood firm in goal for Colgate, stopping all of the Bears' attempts, including a crucial miss by St. Louis. Colgate secured the win in the shootout, concluding the game with a 3-3 score at the end of regulation and earning the victory.

- Simon Labelle netted two goals and extended his goal streak to four games. The senior leads the team with 11 goals this season.
- Bobby Metz logged his second goal of the season.
- Ryan Sullivan posted his fourth multi-assist game of the season. Sully is now tied with Isaiah Norlin for the team lead in assists with 15.
