Ramey, Widrick, and Winograd earn Patriot League awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The men's soccer team collected three Patriot League weekly honors, the conference announced on Monday. Cole Ramey, Eric Widrick, and Liam Winograd each garnered league awards.

Ramey earned his first weekly honor after he scored the game-winning goal against UAlbany on Tuesday. The forward sits second in the league in goals with three so far this season as well as two game winning goals. The first year collected Patriot League Rookie of the Week and is the second Raiders to earn that honor this season (Ryan Schachter, Aug. 25).

Widrick continues his excellent season with his fourth Goalkeeper of the Week award. The senior tallied two more clean sheets this week including a seven-save effort against Bucknell that earned Colgate a 0-0 draw. The netminder has five clean sheets this season and leads the Patriot League in all major categories, goals against average (.625), saves (39), shutouts per game (.625), and saves per game (4.88).

Winograd secured his first weekly honor of the season as Defensive Player of the Week. The senior has been an anchor in the backline this season alongside Julian Di Lucia. Winograd played all 90 minutes in both matches this week where the Raiders kept Bucknell and UAlbany scoreless.

Colgate is back in action Tuesday as they head to Syracuse to take on the Orange. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at SU Soccer Stadium.
