LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Colgate men's swimming and diving team saw two records fall on the first day of the Patriot League championship Wednesday afternoon inside Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first of the four-day Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championship kicked off Wednesday with relays and diving performances. Colgate's women's team is tied with American for seventh place with 97 points overall, while the men are in eighth with 84 points.
Colgate's 200 Medley Relay quartet of Peyton Wray, Henry Newhall, Scott Pejic, and Jack Schurtz-Ford posted a time of 1:30.92, besting the previous program-best mark of 1:31.59. The time, which was narrowly clipped by Boston U and American, was good for ninth place.
The 800 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Cooper Luedde, Matthew Szypula, Jack Lira, and Michael Granin posted a program-record time of 6:40.09, good for eighth place on the leaderboard.
MG King, Natalie Hofer, Audrey Collins, and Brooke Garretson fueled the Colgate women's 200 Yard Medley Relay team to a sixth-place finish with a time of 1:41.82, just narrowly clipped by Bucknell for a top-five finish.
The 800 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Elizabeth Rainey, King, Lucy Art, and Garretson also grabbed a sixth-place finish, clocking in with an impressive time of 7:24.29, five seconds faster than their seeding time and two seconds shy of a top-five tally.
