Men's Hockey Garners Two Monthly Honors

Brandt and Norlin pick up October monthly awards

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - Two Raiders were selected as ECAC Players of the Month, the conference released on Thursday.

Jack Brandt earned Forward of the Month, presented by Bluebird Hotels and Isaiah Norlin picked up Defender of the Month.

Brandt is named Forward of the Month after two consecutive Forward of the Week honors in the last two weeks of October. The sophomore scored five goals and added five assists in October including a three-point night against Canisius. Brandt leads the ECAC in points with 10 and pointer per game averaging 1.25.

Norlin collects his first award as a Raider after transferring from the University of Nebraska Omaha. The blueliner scored two goals and dished out five assists in his first month in maroon and white. Norlin logged an assist in Colgate's 3-2 win over then No. 10 ranked Maine. The sophomore leads all defenders in the ECAC in points through the opening eight games.

The Raiders open up ECAC action on the road this weekend as they take on Dartmouth on Friday and Harvard on Saturday. Puck drop for both matchups is set for 7 p.m.
