Fogler Headlines All-Patriot League Raiders

First-year named Patriot League Rookie of the Year

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – First-year wide receiver Matt Fogler hauled in the Patriot League Rookie of the Year, headlining Colgate's four All-League honorees recognized by the conference Tuesday afternoon.

In addition to Fogler, senior wide receiver Treyvhon Saunders garnered All-League First Team offense, junior wide receiver Reed Swanson earned Second Team offense, junior defensive back Tymir Wynn landed Second Team defense, and junior placekicker Luke Vogeler landed Second Team special teams.

First-Year Phenom Fogler

Less than 24 hours after being named a Jerry Rice Award finalist, which recognizes the nation's top first-year in FCS, Fogler becomes Colgate's first rookie to earn the league's top honor since Michael Brescia in 2021. He's Colgate's first non-QB to land the award since 2016 (Abu Daramy-Swaray).

Fogler was a two-time Patriot League Rookie of the Week selection. He emerged down the stretch, scoring all seven of his touchdowns over the final four weeks. The Cincinnati, Ohio, native amassed 23 receptions for 413 yards with seven touchdowns on the season.

He caught three touchdowns at Lafayette, becoming Colgate's first wide receiver to score three times in a game since Thomas Ives in 2017. After scoring Colgate's lone touchdown against then-ranked No. 4 Lehigh the following week, he caught TD passes of 39 and 37 yards in the Raiders' 38-19 victory over Bucknell in the regular-season finale.

Senior Captain Saunders Makes First Team

Saunders, a senior captain, was on pace to have one of the best – if not the best – season in program history. Before suffering a season-ending injury Oct. 11 against Richmond, Saunders led the FCS in every statistical category – including receptions (50), reception yards (700), and reception yards per game (116.67). Despite playing only six games, he finished second on the team in all those categories.

Swanson's Emergence Secures All-League Second Team

Swanson had a breakout 2025 season for Colgate's offense. The junior wide receiver caught 57 passes for 939 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging 16.5 yards per catch. His 939 yards were good for fourth in the Patriot League and his eight TDs were tied for second in the conference.

Swanson was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week after a monster game at Georgetown, hauling in 11 receptions for 183 yards and a score. Later in the season finale, he caught a career-long 67-yard touchdown, helping to close out the year on a high note. Overall, Swanson emerged as Colgate's top deep-threat and a central piece of their passing game.

Wynn Led the Raiders with Three Interceptions

Wynn continued to be a key presence in Colgate's secondary. Over nine games, he tallied 44 total tackles (32 solo), notching three interceptions, six pass breakups, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. His three interceptions were tied for fourth in the Patriot League.

He opened the year by earning Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week honors after a dominant performance versus Monmouth with two picks and six stops. In the season finale against Bucknell, his interception helped swing momentum, leading to a decisive turnover and points for the Raiders.

Vogeler Becomes Two-Time All-League Selection

Vogeler, now a two-time All-Patriot League selection, was 12-for-18 on field goal attempts (66.67%). He was perfect on attempts from 30-39 yards (6-for-6) and nailed two 40-plus yarders, including a season-long 43-yarder in Colgate's overtime win over Merrimack. He was 38-for-41 on PATs.
