Six Raiders Garner All-League Selections

Most All-Patriot League honors since 2018

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Patriot League announced its women's soccer postseason awards on Friday and Colgate secured six All-League selections.

The six selections is the most in a single season for the Raiders since 2018 when they had seven.

Ari Bezanson earned her third consecutive First Team All-League selection and is the first Colgate student-athlete to do so since Caroline Brawner (2012, 2013, 2014). The senior scored six goals and added two assists to help Colgate secure the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament. Bezanson has scored three game-winning goals which ranks fourth in the conference.

Ana Schremp, Nikki DiCaprio, and Josie Tunney each were selected to the Second Team All-Patriot League.

Schremp picked up her first postseason honor of her career with three goals and five assists this season. The senior posted the third-most points on the team with 11.

DiCaprio secured her first postseason honor with a team-high (excluding goalkeepers) 1576 minutes played this season. The senior has been an anchor in the backline this season and scored her first career goal against Marist.

Tunney earned Second Team All-League with a four goal, one assist conference tally. In the nine Patriot League games only, no Raider posted more points than Tunney in league play, including her four goals which ranks fifth in the conference in league play.

Jade Vieira and Ella Poppinga round out the postseason honors for the Raiders, each with a spot on the Third Team All-Patriot League. Both student-athletes garnered their first all-league honors.

Vieira started 14 games for Colgate and appeared in all 18. The sophomore logged two assists including the assist to Tunney for the insurance goal in the postseason clinching win over Loyola.

Poppinga played every minute in between the pipes for the Raiders this season and tallied four shutouts. The junior averaged 1.22 goals against per game and posted 4.78 saves per game in the regular season which both rank fourth in the conference.

The Raiders earned the No. 2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament which grants them a first-round bye. Colgate awaits the highest remaining seed after the first round matches conclude and will host the Patriot League Semifinal on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 6 p.m.
