Women's Soccer Announces Class of 2030

Six student-athletes will join team in fall of 2026

HAMILTON - Head women's soccer coach, Lyndse Hokanson, and the entire women's soccer team announced the addition of six student-athletes who will join the team in the fall of 2026.

The group hails from six different states and provinces, adding experience from top-level clubs in the Elite Club National League (ECNL) and the Girls Academy League.

The group includes several all-conference and all-state honorees coming from championship-winning high school and club teams. They have also proven themselves in the classroom and have been leaders in their communities.

Four-year varsity player at The Calhoun School…team captain as a junior and senior…scored 50 career goals, including 10 as a senior…four-time All-NYCAL selection at center midfield and recipient of the student-voted Cougar Award…also competed in track & field and basketball, qualifying for New Balance Nationals Indoors in the 60m as a freshman and earning four All-League honors in the 100m and 200m…played for Downtown United SC in the Girls Academy Northeast from 2018-25…selected for DUSC's Triple A's program (2022-25), the NY/NJ Gotham FC Center of Excellence, and the Region I ODP ID Event in 2024…helped DUSC to a championship at the SC del Sol Presidents Day Tournament and a finals appearance at the NYC Cup, while also scoring the decisive goal to send the 04/05 squad to the League Cup final as a rising freshman.

Four-year varsity standout at Mount Saint Mary Academy…team captain in 2025…school-record holder with 99 career goals…four-time All-Mountain Division First Team selection…three-time team MVP…led the Lions to the 2025 Skyland Conference Mountain Division title…also played basketball, serving as captain and helping the team win two division championships…member of National Honor Society…active in Spanish Club, HOPE Club, Operation Smile, and Women in Business…competed for NJ Premier FC in the Girls Academy from 2019-25, totaling 55 goals and 18 assists…helped NJ Premier win three state championships (2023-25) and back-to-back NAL titles (2024-25).

She has the strength and ability to play as a hold-up 9, with the creativity and athleticism to play as a winger or even facilitate like an attacking midfielder. She is a goal-scorer and goal-creator and we are looking forward to seeing her contribute to our attack in maroon and white for years to come."

Four-year varsity contributor at Worcester Academy…two-year captain (2024-25)…helped lead the Hilltoppers to a NEPSAC Class A Championship…also competed in lacrosse…active in Morgan's Message, Yearbook Club, and Worcester Academy Ambassadors…earned All-NEPSAC Honorable Mention and was selected as a NEPSAC Junior All-Star in 2024…played for FC Stars Blue in the ECNL New England Conference from 2018-26…named to the 2022 ECNL All-Conference First Team…helped FC Stars win the 2024 ECNL New England Conference title.

Coach Hokanson on Riva: "Kaitlyn is one of those players who you can count on in a multitude of positions and roles. Every class you hope to have one Swiss Army knife that gives you the freedom to play different systems and use her in various ways. Kaitlyn provides that for us. Her athleticism and ability to both attack and defend in a dynamic way is an exciting skillset for us to add into our program."

Played for Coquitlam Metro Ford Soccer Club in the BC Soccer Premier League from 2018-25…earned FTF Showcase MVP honors in 2024…named a Canadian National Club Championship First Team All-Star in 2023 and Second Team All-Star in 2025…selected to Team British Columbia for the 2025 Canada Summer Games…helped CMFSC to four straight BCSPL League titles (2022-25) and three consecutive British Columbia Provincial Championships (2022-24)…also contributed to Canadian Nationals bronze-medal finishes in 2023 and 2025.

Why Sather chose Colgate: "There were many reasons why I chose Colgate. Colgate has a really good balance between competitive soccer and strong academics which are both very important to me. The soccer program also has a very positive family culture. The campus is beautiful and I could really imagine myself living there."

Coach Hokanson on Sather: "Kaya epitomizes the modern-day holding midfielder - toughness and defensive prowess you need, coupled with a strong technical foundation to play a great range of passes and link-up play. The opportunities she has had to participate in high-level competitions for her Province has also given her great experience in playing for things that matter, which is a critical skill at the college level. Kaya has a high ceiling and we're excited to see the ways that she grows here in our program."

Four-year varsity letterwinner at Manheim Township High School…team captain in 2025…school record holder with 54 career goals, totaling 153 points…posted 17 goals and 13 assists as a senior…named Lancaster Lebanon Section 1 MVP and Pennsylvania All-State in 2024-2025…three-time team MVP…also a standout in lacrosse, earning First Team Section 1 honors and contributing to four league titles and three District III championships…member of National Honor Society and a four-time First Honor Roll recipient…played for Penn Fusion Soccer Academy in the ECNL from 2022-25…helped Penn Fusion win the 2024 ECNL National Championship and capture four straight ECNL Mid-Atlantic Conference titles.

Coach Hokanson on Taylor: "Regan is a dynamic outside back who played a critical part in her club's national championship season. She makes life so hard on opposing attackers in her ability to defend 1v1, while also having great vision and skill to play out from the back, something necessary for the outside backs in our system. The sky is the limit for her growth as a player and we look forward to seeing what's ahead for her here in Hamilton."

What's more exciting is that she continues to get better and better, and we know that her trajectory is positive and her ceiling is high, which is a great place to be considering where she already is."
