Women's Soccer Hosts Patriot League Semifinal

Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday at Beyer-Small '76 Field

HAMILTON - The No. 2 Colgate Raiders will host the No. 3 Army Black Knights in the Patriot League Semifinal on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Beyer-Small '76 Field.

The Raiders hosts the Patriot League Semifinal for the first time since 2011 and are looking to advance to its first Patriot League Championship since the spring of 2021.

Colgate has hosted Army in the Patriot League Tournament six times in the two teams' history and hold a 4-2
record against them in those contests.

Colgate will make their 31st appearance in the Patriot League postseason tournament which is the most of
any team in the conference. They are also in search of their 13th Patriot League Tournament Championship.

Ari Bezanson sits at 29 career goals in her 73 career games. Currently, there are only 25 active Division I
players with 30 or more goals and Bezanson could join that club this season.

The Patriot League announced its women's soccer postseason awards and Colgate secured six All-League
selections. The six selections is the most in a single season for the Raiders since 2018 when they had seven.
Ari Bezanson earned her third consecutive First Team All-League selection and is the first Colgate student-athlete to do so since Caroline Brawner (2012, 2013, 2014).

Ana Schremp, Nikki DiCaprio, and Josie Tunney each were selected to the Second Team All-Patriot League.

Jade Vieira and Ella Poppinga round out the postseason honors for the Raiders, each with a spot on the Third Team All-Patriot League. Both student-athletes garnered their first all-league honors.

The Patriot League Championship will be held on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 12 p.m. The highest remaining seed will host the championship.
