BETHLEHEM, Pa. – After shooting 4-under-par and finishing tied for sixth last weekend at the Autumn Invitational, sophomore
Alex Hill was named the Patriot League Golfer of the Week, announced by the league office.
Hill's second career Patriot League weekly honor comes on the heels of a memorable weekend in Lake Placid. The sophomore fired back-to-back rounds of 68 to sit 6-under and tied for the lead, before closing out the weekend with a 73 to finish 4-under in a tie for sixth place at the Autumn Invitational.
Hill's performance contributed to Colgate's record-breaking weekend. Colgate's 553 (-15) through the first 36 holes, guided by Hill's 6-under showing on Saturday, shattered the program record of 560 (E), which was set in October 2021. Colgate finished third overall in the tournament, its best team finish to date.
