WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Raiders dropped their first Patriot League game against Army, 56-38 on Thursday night at Christl Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Madison Schiller hit the first triple of the game just over three minutes in as the Raiders and the Black Knights traded blows early.
- After Army took a 11-9 lead, Morgan McMahon took over scoring seven straight points for the Raiders capped off by a 3-pointer.
- Colgate and Army were all tied up at 16 after one quarter of action.
- The Raiders started the second quarter with back-to-back triples from Lara Cook and Madison Schiller helping Colgate take a 24-20 lead.
- Both teams went over three minutes without a bucket before Sophia Diehl drilled a trey putting the Raiders up 27-20.
- McMahon hit a step back jumper as time expired in the first half to give Colgate a 32-27 lead at the break.
- Army hit a 3-pointer with just over four minutes left in the third quarter to get claw back to within two points.
- Army used an 8-2 run to take the lead back from the Raiders with just over a minute left in the third frame.
- The Black Knights held Colgate to just six third quarter points and took a 42-38 lead into the final quarter.
- Army scored six unanswered points at the start of the fourth quarter to extend its lead to ten and force a Colgate timeout with six minutes remaining in the game.
- The Raiders were unable to score in the final frame and fell 56-38.
GAME NOTES
- The loss snaps a four-game winning streak for the Raiders and is the first time losing after leading at halftime.
- Anne Bair equaled her season-high six assists.
