ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Alex Hill is tied for 13th place and Colgate sits in 11th of 15 teams competing in this weekend's The Goat tournament at the Naval Academy Golf Course.
Hill fired an even-par 71 in the second round of the day after opening with a 1-over 72. The first-year is tied with five other golfers at 1-over for the tournament and five strokes behind the leader from Pacific, Deitrick Gill, who landed atop the leaderboard at 4-under.
Eighty-four golfers across 15 teams are competing in Navy's tournament this weekend. The par- 71, 7,025-yard course featured two rounds on Saturday with one final round to wrap up the tournament at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Robbie Herzig is tied for 35th at 7-over. He bounced back from an 8-over 79 in the first round with a 1-under 70 in the second round. Brayden Dock and Jamison Bryant are two of 10 golfers tied for 48th place at 10-over. Leo Li is tied for 64th at 12-over.
Colgate is in 11th place with a 27-over-par team score, one stroke behind Lafayette. Pacific is leading the way at 9-under.
