WEST POINT, N.Y. — Colgate scored seven goals in the third quarter en route to a 14-11 road victory over No. 5 Army on Saturday afternoon.
Hunter Drouin recorded a career-best six points to lead the way, logging four goals and two assists.
Rory Connor (2G, 2A) finished with four points, and
Jack Turner notched a hat trick.
Matt LaCombe had another standout game in goal, making 18 saves. He stopped seven shots in the fourth quarter, five of which came in the final four and a half minutes.

"First, a major shoutout to the rowdy alumni and parents of alumni for coming out this afternoon. Their energy gave us momentum, and their encouragement gave us the juice we needed to sustain the pressure. It was so great to see so many familiar faces, who have sacrificed their blood, sweat, and tears to put this program where it is today.
Secondly, I just want to say how much respect I have for Coach Alberici and his staff. He has been building his program for so many years, and I am honored to come away with a win.
Lastly, what an amazing team effort today. Every single guy this week at practice poured his soul into our preparation. We responded well to our Navy game by doing the work during the week. We have the best scout team in the country. They are dedicated, motivated, talented, and dialed in every day. That is why we had success today, and that is what a culture of Grit, Growth, and Gratitude will get you. We are looking forward to another great week of practice"
The Black Knights scored three times in the fourth quarter, finding the back of the net with 9:53 left and twice with less than five minutes to go. LaCombe's heroics and strong defensive efforts helped cease Army's momentum and prevent a comeback.
In the third, the Raiders outscored the Black Knights 7-2 to pull away and take their largest lead at 14-8.
Ryan Favaro got things going 1:21 in. Army then scored three in a row before a tally from Drouin 16 seconds later started a 6-0 Colgate run. Turner put one in at the 7:49 mark, then
Ben Trumble scored 26 seconds later on a man-up opportunity.
Drouin notched his fourth of the contest, and
Jacob Sposita followed with just over three minutes on the clock, dropping in a behind-the-back goal.
Rory Connor topped it off, firing one home with just over a minute remaining.
The Raiders took a 6-4 advantage early in the second with goals from Turner and
Liam Connor. Turner scored again at the 5:38 mark to push the advantage to three.
Colgate held Army to one goal in the second, which occurred with 2:31 remaining.
Aidan Murnane had two caused turnovers in the quarter. He finished with a team-best three and was one of 10 players who logged a caused turnover for the Raiders. LaCombe also made three of his eight first-half saves in the second.
Trumble notched the first goal just under a minute and a half into the opening quarter. Following an Army goal, the Raiders went on a 3-0 run to take a 4-1 advantage, with Drouin getting his first two goals between a tally from
Rory Connor. The Black Knights ended the quarter on a 3-0 streak to knot the score at 4-4.
