Football Fields Class of 11 on Signing Day

Class of 2029 heads to Hamilton this August

HAMILTON — Colgate Football celebrated National Signing Day by announcing the commitment of 11 incoming student-athletes in the Class of 2029.  

The soon-to-be Raiders hail from eight different states and cover eight positions on the field, six on offense and five on defense.

OFFENSE

Grant Kinnee | 6'4" | 195 | Highlights
Position: QB
Hometown: Waterville, Ohio
High School: Anthony Wayne

Played three years of varsity football at Anthony Wayne High School under head coach Andy Brungard … Threw for 1,283 yards and 17 touchdowns adding 1,359 yards on the ground with 27 rushing scores his senior year… Helped the Generals to back-to-back Northern Lakes League Buckeye Division Championships as the starting quarterback… Named NLL Buckeye Division Offensive Player of the Year, D-II Northwest Ohio District Co-Offensive Player of the Year, and All-Blade Football Player of the Year in 2024… Achieved a 26-5 record in 31 career starts for Anthony Wayne. 
 

Michael Stevenson | 6'5" | 240 | Highlights
Position: TE
Hometown: Carroll, Ohio
High School: Bloom-Carroll

Suited up for three years of varsity football at Bloom-Carroll High School under head coach Jeremy McKinney… Caught 29 passes for 407 yards and two touchdowns his senior season at Bloom-Carroll… Named to the 2024 Eagle-Gazette All-Area Team and the All-Central District First Team… Caught five passes for 86 yards, two to keep the game-winning drive alive in the fourth quarter, in a 44-43 playoff victory over Bishop Hartley… Earned Second Team All-MSL honors in 2023.
 
Matt Fogler | 6'4" | 190 | Highlights
Position: WR
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio
High School: Archbishop Moeller

Lettered for three years at Archbishop Moeller under head coach Bert Mathiany… Caught 39 passes for 884 yards his senior year, setting the Archbishop Moeller single-season touchdown receptions record with 16… Named 2024 First Team All-District, First Team All-GCL.. Led his team to back-to-back state semifinal appearances, including a state championship run in 2024… Also part of a 4x100 relay team for Archbishop Moeller that placed in the district final and ran in the regional championship.
 

P.J. Holmes | 6'2" | 195 | Highlights
Position: WR
Hometown: Downingtown, Pa.
High School: Malvern Prep

Played three years of varsity football at Malvern Prep under head coach Dave Gueriera… Named Second Team All-Inter AC his senior year… Helped Malvern Prep to back-to-back Inter AC championships.
 

Adam Murphy | 6'6" | 270 | Highlights
Position: OL
Hometown: Brielle, N.J.
High School: Manasquan

Played three seasons of varsity football at Manasquan under head coach Jay Price… Voted to the Shore Conference All-Constitution Division First Team.
 
Jacob Hoffman | 6'4" | 280 | Highlights
Position: OL
Hometown: Macomb, Mich.
High School: De La Salle Collegiate

Played three years of varsity football under head coach Dan Rohn at De La Salle Collegiate… Named 2024 All-Catholic League, All-County and All-Region while earning an All-State honorable mention… Helped De La Salle to back-to-back state championships.



DEFENSE

Cole Toddings | 6'2" | 215 | Highlights
Position: OLB
Hometown: Barnegat, N.J.
High School: Barnegat

Played four years at Barnegat High School under head coach Pal Covine… Named to the 2024 All-Class C South First Team as well as the Class C South Defensive Player of the Year… Voted the No. 1 linebacker in the Shore Conference by Asbury Park Press… Broke the Barnegat program record for most tackles in a career with over 305 stops.
 
Jaylon Brown | 6'4" | 250 | Highlights
Position: DL
Hometown: Glen Allen, Va.
High School: Glen Allen

A three-year letterwinner at Glen Allen High School under head coach Malik Sexton… Named to the 6A All-Region First Team… Led Glen Allen to a 10-2 record his senior year, the best mark in program history.


Martin Geary | 6'3" | 280 | Highlights
Position: DL
Hometown: Ponte Vedra, Fla.
High School: Ponte Vedra

Played three years of varsity football with head coach Steve Price at Ponte Vedra high school… Named to the All-North Florida Defensive Team and All-District squad… Also placed second in the regional weightlifting championships.
 
Penn Picton | 6'2" | 205 | Highlights
Position: LB
Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio
High School: Indian Hill

Played three years of varsity football at Indian Hill High School under head coach John Rodenberg… Captained his senior year squad… Was named First Team All-Conference and All-Southwest Ohio… Added a 10-tackle performance against top-seeded Clinton-Massie in the regional playoffs.

Antwaune Rodgers | 6'0" | 180 | Highlights
Position: DB
Hometown: Greenbelt, Md.
High School: Eleanor Roosevelt

A three-year starter at Eleanor Roosevelt High School under head coach Thomas Green… Made 28 solo tackles his senior year, adding 519 all-purpose yards on offense and 11 touchdowns… Captained his senior year squad that went 7-2.
