WORCESTER, Mass. – Samuel Epstein broke his own outdoor pole vault school record Saturday afternoon in the Holy Cross Invitational.
On an action-packed day, multiple Raiders recorded strong individual performances as Colgate competed among strong schools throughout the East Coast.
Clare Gillis notched a second-place finish in the women's 100m as she crossed the finish line with a time of 12.07 and scored eight points for her team.
Carollin Mellin sported a second-place finish in the women's 800m with a time of 2:12.76 and notched eight points toward her team's finish.
Emma Pizer joined the action with a finish just outside the top five, crossing the finish line with a time of 4:49.42 in the women's 1500m.
Dominique Groguhe continued her impressive season with a heave of 46.68 in the women's hammer throw. Groguhe's throw scored a spot inside the top 10. Sophomore
Rylee Wicker also participated in the event, tossing for a mark of 38.75.
Gavin Fowler contributed to the men's side with a third-place finish in the men's 5000m run, crossing the finish line with a time of 15:05.38. Teammate
John Griffith joined Fowler inside the top 10 with an eighth-place finish and a time of 15:35.08.
Epstein highlighted the meet for the Raiders as he broke his own school record with a mark of 4.50m and sported a fourth-place finish.
