GENEVA, N.Y. — Colgate Field Hockey goalie
Cammy Foster was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Scholars of Distinction Team Feb. 16.
In order for a student-athlete to be named a Scholar of Distinction, they must have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2022-23 academic year.
Foster is a biology major who excelled in the classroom during the fall semester, earning a 3.93 GPA.
The sophomore joined the Raiders' program this past fall as a transfer. She made four appearances, logging 165 minutes of action in cage. Foster posted a 2.91 goals-against average and a .704 save percentage.
She made her Colgate debut Aug. 28 at Rider, stopping five shots in 30 minutes of work. Foster also held Boston University scoreless for the final three quarters Oct. 8. On Oct. 22, she earned her first career start, making seven saves against Lafayette.
Foster is the first Raider player since 2020 to earn Scholar of Distinction accolades.
