Raiders Tame Tigers for 11th Straight Win

Colgate Pounces on Princeton, 7-1, behind five multi-point performances

HAMILTONDanielle Serdachny poured in four points and Kas Betinol notched the second two-goal game of her career as the Raiders took down No. 13/14 Princeton, 7-1. Both Ally Simpson and Kristýna Kaltounková added a goal and assist while Sydney Morrow's trio of assists stretched her point streak to eight games. Emma Pais, Sarah Stewart and Neena Brick also contributed helpers in the triumph.

"It was a great effort by every player on the team tonight," Brick said. "All four lines were going hard and we just stuck to our game plan to get the win."

It did not take long for Colgate to start executing its game plan with Serdachny rushing forward to score just 38 seconds into the game. Betinol logged her first point of the season three minutes later, and after a Simpson goal on the power play, the Raiders were up three not even halfway through the first frame.

Only minutes after the halfway point, Serdachny netted her second of the period giving Colgate a four-goal cushion heading into the opening intermission.

Kaltounková, the NCAA leader in man-up scores, then tacked on the third power play goal of the night to open the second stanza. First-year Madeline Palumbo was the next to join in the lamp-lighting party, stripping the Princeton defender of the puck before pushing the pace herself and scoring her first career goal.

The Tigers got one back seven minutes into the third period, but Betinol answered with her second score of the night to push the lead back to six, where it would stay for the remainder of the evening.
