Colgate Overpowers Harvard, 10-1

Seven Raiders log multi-point performances in dominant league win

CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – The Colgate Raiders women's hockey team concluded their two-game road trip with an authoritative win over Harvard, 10-1. Seven Raiders put in a multi-point effort, with six of them scoring three points or more. Junior Neena Brick scored a career-high four goals to go along with an assist while Kristýna Kaltounková dropped five points on two scores and three helpers.

"It was a great team effort from our group tonight," sophomore Elyssa Biederman said. "We played hard in all three zones and took care of the smaller details."

Biederman racked up three assists and a goal in the triumph, and she was one of two Colgate players to score four points. Danielle Serdachny also contributed four assists, with her final point pushing her past the 200 career point mark. She is the first Raider in program history to accomplish the feat.

Colgate scored the first of four power play goals on the night when Brick deflected a wrister from Allyson Simpson into the back of the net. Six minutes later, senior Dara Greig put in a goal for the second straight game off the assists from Biederman and Kaltounková.

The second frame was bookended by power play goals from Brick, one three minutes into the period and one at the 12-minute mark of the middle frame that secured the first career hat trick for the forward.

The Raiders then netted five more goals in the third, the highest-scoring output in a period all year. Colgate accumulated fourteen of its season-high 28 points in the final stanza with Kaltounková, Biederman and Brick padding their stats while Emma Pais and Sydney Morrow earned their first goals of the night.
