Oliver Townend made his collegiate debut on the road in Colgate's 1-0 win over Binghamton on Friday night while
Aidan Davock continued his hot streak, scoring his second goal in the last three games.
Townend stood tall throughout the entire 90 minutes, stopping every shot the Bearcats fired at him and registering his first ever clean sheet. Davock headed one into the back of the net off a cross from
Cason Stafford in the 24th minute, pushing the Raiders' lead to 1-0.
Colgate started the game out hot, as

Colgate continued to control the pace throughout the first 45, as the offense created chances left and right, while the backs stood tough, disallowing any offensive chance Binghamton had.
The Bearcats found their first offensive chance in the 58th minute when Will Mahoney fired one low but Townend remained strong, making his first collegiate save.
In the 73rd minute, Bearcats' captain Will Noecker was issued his second yellow card of the night forcing Binghamton to play a man down for the remainder of the match.
Binghamton found a burst of power toward the end, firing a shot off a corner in the 82nd minute but Townend made a stop with his left leg to sustain the Raiders' 1-0 lead.
Colgate's strong defensive play was more than enough to secure the 1-0 victory over Binghamton, improving the team's record to 2-0-1 on the season.
