Keenan-Kirkpatrick Named Head Women’s Manager of USA Track and Field Team

Colgate University Associate Head Cross Country and Assistant Track Coach Kimberly Keenan-Kirkpatrick has been appointed the head manager for the United States Women's Track and Field team that will be competing in the 2022 World Outdoor Championships. USATF had recently announced the full staff.

This summer's championships mark the first time the World Outdoor Championships will occur on United States soil, and it will be hosted on the campus of Oregon in Eugene.

Most recently, Keenan-Kirkpatrick served as an assistant manager working with the marathoners and race walkers competing in the 2020 (2021) Tokyo Olympics. Among the athletes she assisted, Molly Seidel brought home the bronze medal in the marathon.

Keenan-Kirkpatrick has previously served USATF on several staffs. She was the women's distance coach for the 2005 Outdoor World Championships in Helsinki, Finland; women's distance coach for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China; head manager for the 2011 Pan AM games in Guadalajara, Mexico; and 2015 assistant manager for the Pan AM games in Toronto.Keenan-Kirkpatrick also held the role of chair of women's long distance running for USATF, where she focused on supporting the top women's distance runners in the United States.

Keenan-Kirkpatrick and the rest of the US Track and Field staff will be attending the US Championships in Eugene from June 23-26 and the 2022 World Championships will run from July 15-24.
