Brian Minicus have been named to the 2022 Patriot League Men's Lacrosse All-Academic team. To qualify for the team a player must be a starter or important reserve and achieve a grade point average of 3.2 or better on a 4.0 scale. A total of only 12 players from the nine teams in the Patriot League are selected for the honor.
Jordan, a team captain, has a double major of Political Science and Writing. The East Greenwich, R.I., native played in and started 12 games in 2022 finishing tied for third on the team with 19 points on 12 goals and seven assists. The seven assists were good for second on the team and the dozen goals tied him for third in 2022. Jordan is a two-time honoree on both the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and the Colgate Raider Academic Honor Roll.
Minicus, from Darien, Conn., earlier this week was named to the All-Patriot League first team. The Raiders' leading scorer in 2022, Minicus is a Political Science major. Minicus started all 13 games in 2022. He scored 36 goals and added 23 assists, topping the team in both categories and his 36 goals were third in the Patriot League. Minicus scored multiple goals in all but one game and scored three or more goals in eight games. He is tied for 18
th in all of Division I in points per game this season with 4.54. Minicus was selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in 2019 and has twice earned Colgate Raider Academic Honor Roll status. He will continue his academic and lacrosse careers as a graduate student at Georgetown University in the fall.
