WORCESTER, Mass. — The Colgate women's rowing team competed at the Women's Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday.
The Raiders went up against tough competition, racing against some of the top boats in the region.
Colgate's varsity eight crossed the finish line in 6:57.79, good for fifth place in its heat. The Raiders raced against boats from Harvard-Radcliffe, Temple, Boston University, Dartmouth, and Holy Cross. In the third final, Colgate placed third with a time of 7:21.36.
The Raiders' second varsity eight also took fifth place in its heat coming in at 7:18.30. Colgate then placed third in the third final, finishing in 7:37.24.
Colgate's varsity four placed fifth in its heat, posting a time of 8:09.13 and finishing ahead of Holy Cross. The Raiders also went up against boats from Cornell, Columbia, Georgetown, and Northeastern. The boat posted a time of 8:29.4 in the third final, good for second place.
