HAMILTON – Colgate Men's soccer returned home to Beyer-Small '76 Field for alumni weekend as they hosted American University in a Saturday, Oct. 8 matchup. The Raiders battled throughout the entire first half but fell by a score of 3-0.

Chris Noriega registered a shot on goal in 90 minutes of play.
Saturday's affair started off quiet, as both teams battled for possession throughout the first 45. The Raiders fired a total of four shots in the first half, forcing the goalie to come up big in key moments.
American ran into foul trouble early, landing a total of four fouls throughout the first 30 minutes of play.
The second half saw a change of pace in the Eagles, as they fired one past
Andrew Cooke at the 51st minute mark. Play continued as the Raiders looked to even up the score.
A short 11 minutes after the first goal of the game, American banged in two quick ones at the 62nd and 68th minute marks, bringing the score to 3-0 in favor of the Eagles.
The Raiders continued to battle back but fell short to a strong American defense.
