WEST POINT, N.Y. – After a hard-fought first half, the Raiders could not overcome Army's back-to-back touchdowns in the third quarter.
 
The 17 Raider points scored included two touchdowns in the first half to highlight the offense in today's game.
 
The Raiders opened play with a 23-yard rush by Max Hurleman that the Raiders capitalized off with a 49-yard field goal by Spencer Biscoe. Biscoe's 49-yard field goal set a new career-long for the sophomore.
 
Army retaliated quickly, scoring a 75-yard rushing touchdown on their first snap of the game.
 
Hurleman opened the Raiders' second drive with a 34-yard run deep into scoring territory. Luckily for Colgate, Army received a 15-yard penalty to make it 1st and 10 for the Raiders. Michael Brescia capitalized, scoring his sixth rushing touchdown of the season, to take the lead back for the Raiders.
 
The back-and-forth play continued as Army scored a 2-yard rushing touchdown to lead by four points to end the first quarter.
 
Army opened the second quarter with another touchdown to bump their lead to 21-10.
 
The Black Knights tallied another 11-yard rushing touchdown to extend their lead to eight points.
 
After an odd play that went in favor of the Raiders, Colgate took the opportunity to score as Treyvhon Saunders rushed in his first career touchdown to have the Raiders trailing by 11-points going into halftime.
 
Army opened the third with two quick back-to-back touchdowns to extend their lead to 25-points. While the Army offense put up points, the defense held strong holding the Raiders scoreless in both the third and final quarters.
 
The Raiders' defense put on the pressure to start the fourth quarter forcing Army to punt for the first time in the game.
 
Harry Kirk made his second appearance of the season for Colgate to relieve Brescia. Kirk connected with Nick Wamp for a 13-yard pass, but nothing else came from the Raiders' drive to end the game.
 
 
NOTES

• Biscoe's first field goal was the fifth longest in program history and the longest since 1979.
• Drake Hatcher made his Raiders debut in today's battle.
• William Parker caught the first tight end reception of the season.
• Freshman quarterback Zach Osborne made two appearances in the game, rushing for 18-yards.
• After tallying three receptions, senior wide receiver Garrett Oakey sits tied for ninth place in program receptions with 123.
