ITHACA, N.Y. – Colgate Rowing began its long-awaited spring season with a solid day of racing against Central New York foes Ithaca and RIT.
 
The Raiders were able to get 23 student-athletes valuable experience in the three boats. Colgate finished third, second and second in the three races.
 
Here are the results of each boat:
 
Women's Varsity 8+
Crew: Carla Perdomo Silva, Jill Burke, Genna Lamphier, Edi Dukesherer, Mikayla Fassler, Victoria Pino, Katherine Larsen, Katherine French.
Cox: Isabel Gephart.
Results: Ithaca won the varsity eights, crossing in 7:20.5. RIT was second at 7:30.1 and Colgate third in a time of 7:33.1.
 
Women's Second Varsity 8+
Crew: Deanna Michaels, Jessica Kaplan, Eileen McCleary, Anna Cook, Rikki Borkowski, Mariana Pennybacker, Gia D'Erasmo, Sarah Wallingford.
Cox: Anna Duerr.
Results: Ithaca took home the Second Varsity eights with a winning time of 7:48.1. Colgate finished second in 7:54.9, a comfortable distance ahead of RIT at 8:30.0.
 
Women's Varsity 4+
Crew: Ella Siegenthaler, Ellinore Ament, Mahi Gurram, Emily McAllister.
Cox: Edlin Davis.
Results: Ithaca won the fours in a time of 9:02.8, with Colgate crossing in 9:28.7.
