HAMILTON – Both of Colgate's cross country teams were named 2020 NCAA Division I All-Academic by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The men's team boasted a 3.62 GPA, which was tied with Lafayette for the top GPA among Patriot League schools that were named All-Academic. On the women's side, Colgate recorded a 3.39 GPA.
Overall, 199 men's teams received All-Academic honors at the Division I level while 233 women's teams earned All-Academic distinction.
On the men's side, Northern Arizona was named the National Scholar Team of the Year. The Lumberjacks won the 2020 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships and recorded a 3.29 team GPA.
BYU was named the National Scholar Team of the Year on the women's side after winning the 2020 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships and posting a 3.52 team GPA.
To be eligible, teams had to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Colgate was one of six Patriot League teams to have both of its men's and women's teams named All-Academic.
