HAMILTON – First-year
Kayle Osborne's standout campaign for the Colgate women's hockey team is now being highlighted by her being named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year.
Osborne has helped the No. 6 Raiders to a 13-6-1 overall record and an 8-4-0 ECAC conference record. Throughout her first season between the pipes, the Westport, Ontario, native has boasted a .925 save percentage over the course of 1190:21 of ice time. Starting 19 contests for the Raiders this season, Osborne has recorded two shutouts and currently ranks No. 13 in the nation behind her 1.76 goals against average.
A two-time ECAC Goaltender of the Week, Osborne was also named Rookie of the Week on Jan. 11. Her performance through January's eight games also garnered her ECAC Rookie of the Month honors.
In addition to her Rookie of the Year honor, Osborne has been named one of eight finalists for the first ever Women's Hockey Goalie of the Year award, which will be presented by the Hockey Commissioner's Association at the Women's Frozen Four.
Osborne has become the first ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Year in program history in the Division I era.

Behind their No. 1 seed, the Raiders host the ECAC Tournament Semifinal against No. 4-seeded Quinnipiac on Friday at 5 p.m. in the Class of 1965 Arena. Should they advance, the Raiders will host the ECAC Championship on Sunday with a 2 p.m. puck drop.
