SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Colgate women's tennis team fell to Lehigh on Saturday by a score of 4-0.
Despite sophomores
Rebecca Wolf and
Emily Untermeyer winning at No. 2 doubles, the Raiders lost the other two doubles matches to just miss the doubles point.
Playing to clinch (first to four points), sophomore
Katerina Atallah fell at No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-3 and Untermeyer lost at No. 5 singles 6-3, 6-1. Junior
Nicole Condas fell at No. 6 singles 6-3, 6-0 as the Mountain Hawks took the 4-0 win.
Before the match was stopped, sophomore
Emme Levenson was tied at 6-6 at No. 1 singles. First-year
Sara De Oliveira had won her first set 6-3 and was leading the second set 4-1, while Wolf was leading in her second set 3-2.
With the loss, the Raiders now hold an overall record of 2-3.

On the women's match, head coach
Bobby Pennington said, "Tough day for the ladies as we shined brightly in certain spots. We played clinch aas we typically do in our tournament. Our top three all were either winning or dead even. Levenson tied in a breaker, De Oliveira was about to win and Wolf was battling.
"Wolf and Untermeyer also played unreal in doubles. Lehigh had too much depth at No. 4-6. Now we prep for Bucknell, our biggest match of the regular season."
UP NEXT
The Raiders will host a conference match against Bucknell on April 3 at the J.W. Abrahamson Tennis Courts with a time yet to be determined.
