HAMILTON – The Colgate women's swimming and diving team lost a close contest to Binghamton on Senior Day, falling to the Bearcats 156-142.

Kicking off the day for the Raiders was Colgate's A team in the 200-yard medley relay. The team, consisting of senior
Beth Caruana, first-year
Brooke Garretson, first-year
Jordan Hurt and senior
Madison Sullivan, secured the victory with a time of 1:50.32.

Garretson took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.97 and Caruana won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.73. She picked up her second individual win of the day in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:13.24 while also finishing second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:13.26.

Zoe Stokes secured the win in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.36 and first-year
Jordan Hurt's time of 53.52 was good for first in the 100-yard freestyle.

Hurt also finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.62 while Stokes clinched a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.69. Stokes improved on her already stellar day as her time of 5:25.02 was good second in the 500-yard freestyle.

Sophomore
Katie Hand won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:12.68. Her time of 2:13.74 in the 200-yard butterfly was good for second. First-year
Alexandra Mehos clinched second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.01.

In the 400-yard freestyle relay, Colgate's A team of Sullivan, Stokes, Hurt and senior
Emma Klein secured a first-place finish with a time of 3:41.41.

Senior
Caroline LaPlante had a great day on the board as she won the 3-meter dive with a score of 243.97. In the 1-meter dive, her score of 242.17 was good for second.

Junior
Lindsay Criqui finished third in the 100-yard backstroke as she swam a 1:01.63 and Hand placed third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.03. Sophomore
Ana Mashek's time of 2:17.10 was good for third in the 200-yard backstroke.

On the men's and women's performances, head coach Ed Pretre said, "After a very hard week of training, the team battled extremely hard. We're looking forward to ending our season and being rested for three weeks."
