Osborne Named to Goalie of the Year Watch List

Winner to be Announced During NCAA Frozen Four

HAMILTON -- With the creation of a new award, the Hockey Commissioners Association looks to annually honor the top female goaltender in NCAA Division I Hockey. Behind the efforts in her first season with the Colgate women's hockey program, Kayle Osborne has been named to the 2020-21 Women's Goalie of the Year Watch List.

Currently including 21 of the nation's top goaltenders, Osborne joins Quinnipiac's Logan Angers as ECAC Hockey representatives on the watch list. A combination of coaches, administrators, and media make up the committee that will pare the list down within the next two weeks. The winner will then be announced during the NCAA Frozen Four in March.

Throughout 15 games, Osborne has helped the No. 5 Raiders to a 11-3-1 overall record with a 6-2-0 mark in the ECAC. She ranks fifth nationally with her 1.46 goals against and 15th overall with her .936 save percentage. This past week, Osborne was named ECAC Hockey Rookie of the Month for her performance throughout January, which included a .955 save percentage and two shutouts.

The Women's Hockey Goalie of the Year Award will be presented for the first time this year, joining the association's Rookie of the Year Award that has been presented since 2014.
