Best-of-three series begins Friday

ITHACA, N.Y. - Colgate's postseason run continues this weekend as the Raiders head to Ithaca to take on No. 11 and four-seeded Cornell in a best-of-three ECAC Quarterfinal series.

The Raiders defeated RPI 4-2 last Friday to march to their fifth consecutive ECAC Quarterfinal.

RED RIVALRY
In the all-time series, Colgate trails 25-31-4, but took a majority of the points against Cornell this season.

In a dominant early-season performance, the Raiders earned a 3-0 shutout victory at home, highlighted by two Emma Pais assists. The next day, Colgate secured a point by taking the Big Red to overtime, but fell on the road 4-3.

There is plenty of recent bad blood between the two squads. Cornell defeated Colgate in the 2025 ECAC Championship, and owns a 3-1 record against the Raiders in quarterfinal series'. However, Colgate has had major success of their own in quarterfinals, with an 8-0 record since 2021.

MAJOR MILESTONES
Alexia Aubin recently passed the 50 point mark in her Colgate career, and with her goal and assist in last week's win against RPI, sits one shy of her first 30 point season. The sophomore sits second on the Raiders in assists with 21.

Alexis Petford earned three points last Friday, helping her surpass the 30-point mark for the first time as a Raider. The Colgate leader in shot percentage at .163, Petford is the second-leading point scorer on the Raiders.

Elyssa Biederman was named to the All-ECAC Third Team, her fourth postseason ECAC honor. Sitting on 180 career points, Bieds is third all-time at Colgate. She also leads the Raiders with 41 points this season, reaching the 40-point plateau with a goal and three assists in a dominant performance in the regular season finale at St. Lawrence.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Taylor Senecal | DEF | Fy. | Colgate

The reigning ECAC Rookie of the Week, Senecal logged two assists against RPI in the ECAC Opening Round. The defender sits fifth on the team in assists, with her 15 the most by a first-year defenseman since 2019.

Avi Adam | FWD | SR. | Cornell

Adam, who is tied for the Big Red lead in points with 23, scored twice in Cornell's last meeting with Colgate, a 4-3 overtime win back in November. She also provided an assist in the regular season finale against Clarkson, one of her team leading 17 this season.

Brooke Davis | GK | Fy. | Colgate

The first-year goaltender has performed admirably for the Raiders this season, starting the last four games and picking up her first postseason victory against RPI last Friday. Davis sits 15th all-time in save percentage (.921) and posted three shutouts this season.

Puck drop for game one is set for 3 p.m. on Friday in Ithaca, N.Y. The game will air on ESPN+. Game two will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday and if needed, Sunday's game will also begin at 3 p.m.
