The Colgate Men's & Women's Swim & Dive teams opened up competition this morning at the West Virginia Invitational.
Nora Bergstrom had a career best time in the morning prelims for the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:02.28. After posting her career best time in the morning, she came back and beat that time during the finals with a time of 5:00.38.
Danielle McNerney also posted a career best time, hers in the 50 Yard Freestyle. She finished with a time of 24.34. In the 200 Yard IM,
Elke Ambach continued the trend of career best finishes and posted a time of 2:10.52.
In the Men's 400 Yard Medley Relay the team composed of all first-years (
Emmet Santry,
Kerry Cassidy,
Ryan Blumenfeld and
Cooper Luedde) broke the Colgate first-year school record. They posted a time of 3:34.16.
Peyton Wray posted a career best time of 4:45.26 in his 500 Yard Freestyle. More career best times came from
Justin Song,
Ryan Blumenfeld and
Noah Zeigler in the 200 Yard IM. They posted times of 1:56.83, 1:57.92, 1:58.03 respectively.
Competition will resume again in Morgantown, W.V. tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
