HAMILTON — The Colgate swim and dive team opened its season hosting the Colgate Invitational this weekend.
Nora Bergstrom picked up a win in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 17:39.54. The freshman also finished fourth in the 500 at 5:14.29.
Maggie DeLillo finished sixth in the 400 IM, touching the pad at 4:46.74. She then took eighth in the 200 IM finishing the event in 2:15.42.
Erin Mays finished 10th in the 200 breaststroke at 1:11.75.
Additionally, the Raider's 400 free relay team of Brooke Garrettson, Elke Ambach, Danielle McNerney and Dana Witte took fifth with a time of 3:42.82.
On the men's side, Ryan Blumenfeld took fifth in the 400 IM, touching in at 4:23.55. He then followed that with a 200 butterfly time of 2:00.21, good for fourth place.
Noah Zeigler placed seventh in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:03.66.
In the 200 backstroke, Emmet Santry earned eighth place at 2:01.65.

"Both teams showed a lot of fight and grit over the last two days. With all of the sickness we have been battling, the team really performed well. Most importantly it was a good learning experience and we will certainly improve upon this for the next meet. "
