HAMILTON – A pair of Colgate women's hockey alums have extended their professional playing careers by signing contracts within the National Women's Hockey League.
 
A 2018 graduate of the Colgate women's hockey program, Breanne Wilson-Bennett inked a contract with the Toronto Six for their inaugural season.

 
Returning for her sixth season is 2009 Colgate grad Kiira Dosdall-Arena, as she extended with the Metropolitan Riveters. Dosdall-Arena previously played professional hockey in the Elite Women's Hockey League with EHV Sabres Wien and in the CWHL for the Boston Blades.
 
After most recently playing for MODO Hockey in the SDHL, Wilson-Bennett is well known for scoring the game-winner in the double-overtime win against Wisconsin in the 2018 National Semifinal. While also competing with the track & field program, Wilson-Bennett laced up 147 times in her Colgate career where she notched 101 points by 49 goals and 52 assists.
 
In her professional debut season in the 2018-19 campaign, Wilson-Bennett scored eight goals and added 12 assists for 20 points in 21 games played.
 
A 2009 graduate of Colgate, Dosdall-Arena served as team captain for the Raiders while recording 63 points across 134 games played. A three-time Most Valuable Defensive Player honoree of the program, Dosdall-Arena was also nominated for the 2009 Patty Kazmaier Award.
 
In addition to becoming the 2018 Isobel Cup champion, Dosdall-Arena is second all-time in Riveters history in games played (80), penalty minutes (60), and points among defenders (25). Most recently, she earned two points in 13 games in the 2019-20 season in addition to scoring in the 2020 NWHL All-Star Game.
