HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Colgate Women's Swimming and Diving team was topped 163-98 by Boston University Saturday at Lineberry Natatorium.
Lauren deTorres had the highlight of the day for the Raiders, as she swam the 100-yard Breaststroke in 1:07.51 to finish first and claim Colgate's sole event of the afternoon. deTorres won the race by nearly a second and a half.
The junior had a pair of other top finishes, as she swam the 200-yard Breaststroke in 2:25.93 for second place. She also teamed with
Emma Klein,
Madison Sullivan and
Liv Castro for the second fastest time in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay. Their final mark was 3:37.70. deTorres was also on the 200-yard Medley Relay team that finished second with a time of 1:49.19. Klein, Castro and
Carolyn Silverman rounded out that quartet.
Castro had a busy day, as the senior also had a pair of top individual finishes. She claimed second in the 200-yard Butterfly with a finishing time of 2:10.97. She was also second in the 100-yard Freestyle thanks to her mark of 54.37.
Elsewhere for the Raiders,
Emma Klein finished second in the 100-yard Butterfly after she touched the wall in 58.98.
Kiersten Daly also had a strong showing with the second fastest time in the 200-yard IM with her finish of 2:14.47.
