HAMILTON – Colgate's Olivia Zafuto is one of 75 players invited to the 2018 USA Hockey Women's National Festival, which starts Monday at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, New York. 
 
The festival is an annual event that also is being used to select two 22-player select team rosters (one U-18 and one U-22) for a pair of series against Canada to be held simultaneously Aug. 16-19 in Calgary, Alberta.
 
Zafuto, who is entering her senior season with the Raiders, earned 2018 All-NCAA Tournament honors last year after helping Colgate reach the national championship game. She scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Colgate's 3-1 NCAA Quarterfinal victory against Northeastern.
 
Zafuto already has been a part of arguably the three greatest seasons in Colgate Women's Hockey history, helping the team to a combined 78-26-11 (.726) record capped by last season's ECAC Hockey regular season crown and the ensuing playoff run to the NCAA Women's Frozen Four.
 
The complete Women's National Festival roster of 42 forwards, 26 defenders and seven goaltenders can be found HERE. The event runs Aug. 6-13, with rosters for the U-18 and U-22 teams set for release Aug. 12.
