ITHACA, N.Y. – Breanne Wilson-Bennett (Markham, Ontario) recorded Colgate's lone first-place finish with an impressive performance in the javelin Sunday afternoon as the Colgate women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the Big Red Invite hosted by Cornell.
Sunday's meet marked the final tune-up for the Raiders before beginning competition at the Patriot League Track and Field Championships this coming weekend.
Wilson-Bennett and
Megan Maloney (Bridgeton, New Jersey) finished first and second in the javelin throw for the Raiders at the meet.
The Raiders finished Sunday with four top-five finishes and more personal records set.
TOP PERFORMERS
-Wilson-Bennett was tops in the javelin Sunday afternoon with her throw of 33 meters while Maloney was second with her 29 meter throw
-Bowers paced the Raiders in the 1,500-Meter Race with a personal record time of 4:46.05 to finish fifth
-Martinez also finished fifth, competing in the 5,000-Meter Race for the first time, in 18:23.44

Lexi Walsh (St. Louis, Missouri) was eighth in the 5,000-Meter Race in a personal record time of 19:04.04 while
Meghan DioGuardi (Hornell, New York) also recorded a personal record with her time of 19:06.19 to finish ninth

Hunter Filer (Victor, New York) was sixth in the high jump with a personal record of 1.55 meters

Marina Reilly (Oradell, New Jersey) recorded a long jump of 4.99 meters to finish seventh in the event
-Berardi finished the 800-Meter Race in seventh place with her time of 2:27.62
