VESTAL, N.Y. – The Colgate Women's Swimming and Diving team was topped by Binghamton 165-129 Saturday afternoon at the Patricia A. Saunders Aquatic Center.
Caroline LaPlante and
Lauren deTorres lead the charge for the Raiders, as both competitors picked up event wins on the day.
LaPlante was stellar once again with the three-meter dive. The sophomore racked up a combined total of 247.72 to help the team earn nine points.
For deTorres, her win came in the 200 Yard Breaststroke. The junior also earned Colgate nine team points when she touched the wall first by more than two seconds with her 2:27.10 pace.
Both deTorres and LaPlante were busy elsewhere, as they both earned individual second-place finishes in other events.
The 129 points also matches a season-high for the Raiders, as they racked up the same total on Oct. 13 when they visited Loyola.
