WORCESTER, MASS. – The Colgate women's swimming and diving team turned out a strong team effort to claim a 167-122 win at Holy Cross in a Patriot League dual meet Monday afternoon.
 
Carolyn Silverman, Beth Caruana and Megan Gallagher all claimed two wins apiece to lead the way for the Raiders.

INDIVIDUAL WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS

• Silverman (59.28) and first-year Emma Klein (1:02.12) went 1-2 in the 100-yard backstroke.
• Silverman claimed her second win of the day in the 500-yard freestyle (5:20.63).
• Caruana (2:08.97) and senior Maggie Carney (2:10.23) took the top two spots in the 200-yard butterfly.
• Caruana picked up her second event title in the 200-yard backstroke with a clip of 2:07.72.
• Carney followed with a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (59.88).
• Gallagher claimed the 50-yard freestyle title with a time of 24.86 before taking the top spot in the 100-yard free (53.62).
• Junior Michelle Dols (10:55.81) and sophomore Taylor Atkin (11:09.94) finished first and second, respectively, in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
• Colgate took the top three spots in the 200-yard freestyle, led by first-year Madi Sullivan's first-place finish (1:59.74).
• First-year Caroline LaPlante finished first in the 1-meter dive (244.42) and followed with a second-place finish in the 3-meter (234.97).
• Sophomore Kiersten Daly took home the 200-yard breaststroke title with a mark of 2:29.42.
