PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Colgate sophomore forward
Iona MacKillop (Glasgow, Scotland) scored her team-leading third goal of the season Sunday afternoon but the Raiders could not have on and fell to the Bryant Bulldogs, 3-1, at Lennon Family Field.
MacKillop gave the Raiders a 1-0 lead nearly 15 minutes into the first half with her tally. First-year
Katie Anderson (Greene, New York) picked up her first career assist on the play where she pushed the ball to MacKillop in the center before MacKillop's shot went to the upper last corner.
Anderson is the fifth different Raider to record her first career point this season with her assist on Sunday.
Bryant scored three unanswered goals to take the 3-1 win, including a pair of goals in the first half. Floor Van Dommelen put home her third goal of the season with a shot to the left side of the goal off a penalty corner on an assist from Haley Wood. The Bulldogs added their second goal with 1:50 left in the first half as Emily Perryman scored on a rebound after a
Maria Krull (Leicester, Massachusetts) save.
The Bulldogs added an insurance goal with 13:55 left in the second half as Ally Burdick netted her first goal of the season as she collected a rebound and slotted it into the bottom right side of the goal.
