WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior goalkeeper
Maria Krull (Leicester, Massachusetts) made 10 saves Saturday afternoon to help pass Julie Clark '91 for the fifth-most career saves in program history as the Raiders fell to Holy Cross, 4-0, at the Hart Turf Field.
Krull finished the game with 456 saves in her career, surpassing Clark's total of 454 from 1987-90.
The Crusaders were led by Maureen Connolly's two-goal performance, giving her 10 goals through Holy Cross' first nine games. Emily Loprete and Olivia Venezia also scored for Holy Cross while Rachel Lapar had two assists.
Holy Cross scored a pair of goals in the first half as Connolly scored 15 minutes into the game with a high shot from the side before Venezia tapped home a loose ball in front of the cage.
The Crusaders scored added two more goals in the final 10 minutes of the game as Loprete scored off a centering feed before Connolly's second goal of the game with 3:58 to go in the second half.
