Director of Cross Country and Track and Field
Amber Williams has announced the women's Class of 2021, adding nine student-athletes to the roster for the 2017-18 school year.
"I am very excited about the class of 2017," Williams said. "We have some athletes within striking distance of scoring at Patriot League as freshman and that will really help our team turn the corner.
"This year looks very promising and I look forward to working with these great athletes."
The Raiders will have six athletes competing only for the track and field team while the remaining three will compete in cross country in addition to track and field.
This well-rounded group of student-athletes will look to make an immediate impact on the program after bringing numerous impressive accomplishments from their high school years to Colgate.
Colgate finished 10
th at the Patriot League Cross Country Championships as well as the Indoor Track and Field Championship and ninth at the Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
The Raiders had numerous impressive performances throughout the seasons, highlighted by
Regine Cooper (Fort Myers, Florida) picking up the second longest shot put in program history at 12.68 meters and
Marina Reilly's (Oradell, New Jersey) program record of 11.81 meters in the triple jump during the indoor season
