BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Colgate's cross country teams travel to Bethlehem, Pa., on Friday to compete in the 2025 Patriot League Championships. The women's 6k race is set for 12 p.m., followed by the men's 8k race at 1:00 p.m.

WOMEN'S PREVIEW
Colgate will field 12 runners out of 132 entries in the women's 6k. The Raiders look to build upon their eighth-place finish in 2024, when then-first-year Nell Droege led the team with a 33rd-place finish time of 21:58.3.

As a sophomore, Droege has continued to lead Colgate throughout the 2025 season, earning top finishes for the team at multiple competitions, including the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational and ECAC/IC4A Championships. Fellow sophomore Annie Reilly, who finished last year's Patriot League Championships third for Colgate, has been another consistent performer. Reilly was Colgate's second finisher behind Droege at both the Harry Lang Invitational and ECAC/IC4A Championships, as well as second behind Juliet Drury at the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational.

With five of last year's top seven runners returning as sophomores, the women's squad enters the championships with experience and upwards momentum.

MEN'S PREVIEW
On the men's side, the Raiders will have 13 entries out of a 130-athlete field. Colgate placed fourth out of ten teams at the 2024 Patriot League Championships, the team's best outcome since 2005.

Seniors John Griffith and Owen McMorrow return as top performers after finishing 16th and 22nd, respectively, at last year's competition. The duo has finished among Colgate's top-three finishers at the Harry Lang Invitational, Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational, Lehigh Paul Short Invitational, and ECAC/IC4A Championships.

AWARDS AND HONORS
Individual honors will be awarded to the top finishers in each race. The Patriot League Runner of the Year will be the individual champion, while the Rookie of the Year will recognize the top freshman finisher. The top seven runners will earn All-Patriot League First Team honors, with places eight through fourteen receiving Second Team recognition.

Patriot League Coach of the Year honors for both men's and women's programs will be determined by a vote of the league's head coaches following the races.
