HAMILTON, NY – Junior goalkeeper
Maria Krull (Leicester, Massachusetts) made a season-high 10 saves as the Colgate Raiders fell to the Hofstra Pride, 7-0, at Tyler's Field on Sunday, August 28.

With her 10 saves, Krull recorded 17 this weekend as the Raiders finished the weekend with a 1-1 record. Krull has now recorded 12 games with double-digit saves in her career for the Raiders.

Hofstra's Madison Sauve and Stella Schoen each scored a game-high two goals while Schoen also added an assist for a five-point game. Claudia Marin Samper tallied a goal and two assists for four points as well for Hofstra to lead the way. Carissa Witmer and Emily Gallagher each added the remaining goals and Lara Bittel joined Marin Samper with two assists.

The Pride took a 3-0 lead into halftime despite six saves from Krull and a defensive save by
Molly Klare (Wilmette, Illinois). Â Klare made her defensive save with the Raiders trailing 3-0 late in the first half, stopping Lara Bittel's shot off a penalty corner.

Hofstra added four more goals in the first 16 minutes of the second half to extend their lead to 7-0. With just 7:11 remaining in the second half,
Emily Brash (Riverside, Connecticut) nearly got Colgate on the board as she fired a hard backstick shot that went just wide left of the Hofstra goal.
