HAMILTON
Isabel Kreitler, Haley O'Hanlon and Emily Peebles combined for 12 points to pace Colgate in a 10-9 victory over Bucknell in Patriot League women's lacrosse action Saturday at Beyer-Small '76 Field.

The trio accounted for six goals and six assists to help the Raiders move to 3-3 in conference play and remain in the thick of the race to qualify for the Patriot League Championship.

Colgate never trailed in the contest, rattling off four goals in the opening 7:59 to build a quick 4-0 advantage.

The Bison battled back, tallying four of the next five goals to pull within one, 5-4, with less than 13 minutes to play in the first half.

Back-to-back strikes from Kreitler and O'Hanlon restored Colgate's three-goal cushion, 7-4, but Emily Becker found the back of the net just 17 seconds before halftime to make it a 7-5 game at intermission.

Kreitler's third goal of the game pushed the Colgate margin back to three early in the second half, only to see the Bison counter with consecutive tallies less than four minutes apart to make it an 8-7 contest.

Colgate countered with goals from Kristen Brigagliano and Holly Korn to take a 10-7 lead with 8:27 remaining.

Emily Becker kept the Bison within striking distance down the stretch, scoring twice in a 2:44 span to trim the Raider advantage to 10-9 with 75 seconds to play.

Bucknell had a chance to tie the game in the closing seconds as it held the final possession. The Bison were unable to get a shot on goal before time expired, however, giving the Raiders the one-goal victory.

"We got some draw controls in the first half which led to our balanced scoring and offensive output. I was really happy with how we played against their defense. We've worked on it the past couple of games and we were very patient with our looks today, which was great."

"We've been working a lot on our offense, being patient, finding the open girl, and that's what we did today. When we were patient, we were able to find that open girl and we were all confident with the ball and being to shoot and score."
