HAMILTON
– Freshman Haley O'Hanlon found the back of the net four times, but Holy Cross tallied the game-winning goal 42 seconds into the third overtime period to edge the Raiders, 12-11, in Patriot League women's lacrosse action Saturday at Tyler's Field.

In a back-and-forth contest that saw a total of eight ties and five lead changes, Kaitlin Concilio notched the game-winning goal less than a minute into the third overtime session to give the Crusaders their first victory of the season.

Neither team led by more than two goals during the game. Colgate held a 4-2 edge midway through the first half before Holy Cross notched six of the next eight goals to take an 8-6 lead.

The Raiders responded to the Crusaders run, accounting for four of the next five goals, capped by O'Hanlon's third of the afternoon with 3:49 remaining in regulation, to pull back in front, 10-9.

Holy Cross once again battled back, using a goal by Margie Smith just 51 seconds after O'Hanlon's strike to tie the game at 10-10 and force overtime.

The two teams traded goals during the first overtime session to extend the game to a second overtime. Neither team found the back of the net during the second overtime session, setting up Concilio's game-winning strike 42 seconds into the third overtime period.
