Second-Half Run Sparks Colgate Past Lehigh

Raiders Score Eight Goals to Open Second Half and Cruise Past Mountain Hawks, 13-7

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior Megan Ark scored four goals and junior Emily Peebles added three to lead Colgate to a 13-7 victory over Lehigh in Patriot League women's lacrosse action Saturday at Ulrich Sports Complex.
 
Behind 4-2 at the start of the second half, Colgate opened the final frame with eight unanswered goals over a 25-minute span to build a 10-4 cushion.
 
The two teams traded goals over the final five minutes to help the Raiders maintain their six-goal cushion and earn their first League victory of the season.

- Colgate evened its season mark at 3-3 and leveled its conference record at 1-1 with the win.

- Trailing 4-2 at the start of the second half, Peebles scored her first goal of the contest at the 28:48 of the final frame to ignite a 25-minute stretch that saw the Raiders net eight unanswered goals and build a 10-4 cushion.
- Peebles' run-starting tally was her first of two goals during the spurt. Ark notched three goals, sophomore Isabel Kreitler scored two goals and junior Lauren Gorajek added one to account for the rest of the Raiders' goals during the game-changing run.
