SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Rookie
Shelby Perry and sophomore
Cat Quirion both tallied goals on Friday night to help the Raiders draw 2-2 with Union.
It took two full periods before the game saw its first goal. The Dutchwomen took the 1-0 edge early in the final frame after Christine Valente converted on a power play opportunity.
Less than eight seconds later though the Raiders pulled even when Perry found the back of the net for her fourth goal of the season.
Quirion then handed Colgate the go-ahead marker with two and a half minutes remaining in the game when senior
Katie Case helped her slide one past the Union netminder.
One minute later, however, the Dutchwomen pulled the goalie allowing for an extra skater on the ice. Union took advantage of that opportunity and converted on a goal to knot the score at 2-2.
Neither team was able to register the game-winner in overtime despite each squad having a power play chance.
Junior
Ashlynne Rando recorded 22 stops in the contest, shifting her season total to 689.
The Raiders are back on the ice Saturday when they travel to Rensselaer for a 4 p.m. contest. That game will close out the Raiders' 2014-15 season.
