Colgate Takes American To Five Sets Friday

Raiders Battle Defending Patriot League Champion American to the Limit in Thriller at Cotterell Court

HAMILTON - Colgate gave league-leading American all it could handle, but the Eagles rallied for a 3-2 victory in Patriot League volleyball action Friday at Cotterell Court.
 
The Raiders became the first conference opponent to win a set off the defending league champions, capturing the second and third frames to take a 2-1 lead. The Eagles were able to extend the match with a 25-23 victory in the fourth set before claiming victory with a 15-5 triumph in the fifth.

American improved to 14-5 overall and remained undefeated in Patriot League play as it moved to 6-0.
