Knecht Cup Results
WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – Colgate completed its busiest weekend of racing this spring with a full weekend of activity at the Knecht Cup. The Raiders advanced a Varsity 8+ boat in the third-level final and also saw competition for a second Varsity+, Novice 4+ and singles.
The Varsity 8+ crew of coxswain

Blaise Desnoes and Susie Meyer posted a heat time of 7 minutes and 2.79 seconds. That result advanced the Colgate boat to the semifinal, where it rowed to a fifth-place finish in a time of 7:11.25.
In the third-level final, Colgate posted a time of 7:22.19 to finish fifth once again.
Colgate's second Varsity 8+ competed with a crew of coxswain Julie Taibl,
Abby Yosaitis,
Joanna Howe,
Annie Hines, Sarah Walsh, Laury Genty,
Lauren Siano,
Caroline Wardlow and
Eleanor Lichter. Their heat finish was sixth in a time of 7:35.99.
The Colgate Novice 4+ crew featured Taibl as the coxswain, with
Georgia Butcher, Emma Schoenberger, Halley Weinrab and Sydney Thompson. The Raiders finished third in their heat with a time of 8:34.88 to advance to the semifinal. There, Colgate placed fifth with a near-identical time of 8:34.85.

Greg Kruczynski's team also competed in singles, capturing both flights. Warren posted a winning time of 8:45.65 in her event, while Wartell was the winner in the second flight with a time of 8:50.80. DeCelle finished third behind Wartell with a time of 9:30.33.
The Raiders are off this weekend before taking on Lehigh and Hamilton on April 26 in nearby Clinton.
