Cohara Wins Three Events at Home

Raiders Fall to Binghamton, 168-138

The Colgate women's swimming and diving team was back at Lineberry Natatorium for the first time in 2014 and Morgan Cohara took home three wins. 

The Raiders dropped the dual meet to Binghamton by a 161-138 score. 

Cohara led the way for the Raiders with three first-place finishes. She started the day with a win in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in at 1:54.04. Cohara made it two wins later in the meet with a win in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.88. She got the hat trick in one of the distance events as she posted a time of 5:05.60 in the 500-yard freestyle.

Flora Hanson and Lindsey Sagasta were also winners for the Raiders. Hanson finished with a victory in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:12.06. Sagasta got her win in the 100-yard freestyle, clocking in at 52.42 seconds.

On the diving side, Kaitlin Friedli won the 1-meter dive, scoring a 212.61, while Chloe Russack took second with a score of 202.71.

The Raiders had a pair of second-place swims as well with Sagasta and Cammie Kirby earning points. Sagasta took second in the 50-yard free at 24.38 seconds, while Kirby got second in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:27.20.

Colgate finished the meet with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay with the team of Sagasta, Cohara, Sami Wary and Hannah Fitton finishing with a time of 3:32.07.

The Raiders are back in the pool tomorrow afternoon in the final home meet of the season against Patriot League rivals Army and Lafayette.
